Plasma swords, space dragons and alien wizards! :D

I'm still not dead! Amazing, right? Just completely inactive. I don't think I'll return to proper composing anytime soon, so... this is a special occasion.
I've been playing around with the idea of attempting to compose something similar to oldschool vg music recently, and today I've realized it, in the form of this delightful piece. I could imagine hearing this in a fast-paced side-scroller, for instance.
Although I built the melody from scratch, parts of it sound a bit familiar even to me... hope it's not too similar to any particular song.
