This is amazing! Seems I'm nearly ten years late to discover this but better late then never. I was searching around for music recently when I came across NewGrounds, then from one You Might Also Enjoy to another to end up here and I've been blown away. I like all Emid's pieces, some I super like, but this one in particular has really struck a chord with me. Similar to annie4star's comment, to me this marks the beginning of an epic journey or adventure, in a strange and faraway place. I love it.
