I really like the clean melody at the start. I think maybe an ascending bass pattern would sound pretty cool, and possibly some strings...:p what i am trying to say here is: Good start, expand on it because you have a cool idea going.
This song is one of those ballad-esque pop-punk songs. Similar to Remembering Sunday by All Time Low or Take The Fall by I Call Fives.
I tried to give it a very angsty feel. I wanted to evoke the emotions of admitting a regret in your past and getting totally pissed off about it. Like, you know what you did and it ticks you off and you have to scream at the top of your lungs to help you move on.
The length of the verses are choruses are arbitrary in a sense. I have them a length where I don't think it sounds awkward without vocals. It's only drums and a few guitars layered on top of each other. I could record bass. Maybe I should? Nah, it's fine for now.

I'm not really sure what you mean by ascending bass pattern. I'd like to have violin in it, but I can't play that instrument well and I don't have a good synthesizer.
I'm happy you think it's a cool idea because that's all it is so far. It's not a complete song. There's not even an actual melody in it yet. It's just rhythm and lead parts.
