Midst the dark,
You find yourself wandering,
Careless, you tread away.
You wander into unknown lands,
And find yourself astray.

Midst the dark,
You find yourself pondering,
What brought you to this path.
Those twists, turns, scrapes and burns,
You think of them and laugh.

Midst the dark,
You find yourself lost,
You should turn back by now.
But thoughts of glory, treasures and riches,
Keep you from turning back.
You find yourself a midst the dark,
alas there's only black.
