I sure didn't search for this, but I found it enjoyable nonetheless.
I see no problem with the mixing of different influences, to refer to the previous poster, there's a few pieces of this type on NG that aren't either or.
This kind of music goes below the radar, though. Most tracks of this type either just use eastern instruments on western melody, or stay a bit closer to the eastern all together.
Good effort, in any case.

This is either a pretty nice samurai piece or a nice little dance sample, but I don't think it can be both. The bass doesn't fit the samurai theme. The drum beat is pleasing to hear, although the fills are a bit drawn out.
It's fresh, though. It's nice to hear a unique piece every once in a while, especially one that modernizes nonwestern music.
