I liked how it was the same but differnet.
This song would be perfect for a child in his play pin, plotting against the world, and oh yea, it's a pirate baby lol.

Ahhh, Warcraft II !!!! Hoorah, finally! I love that song! Haven't heard it maybe, what, like 3 years? I seem to be catching up on a lot this dear night, and it only gets better : P
As for the song, I personally don't respect a techno remix for it. It definately belongs in medieval style. So really, I'm rating you on two sperate things;
~1. The song itself (Warcraft II, that is)
~2. The techno rendition.
In the case of the acual, original song, you did great! I can bypass the tech-nocity and feel that tense feeling inside, and it's quite accurate, at least to me. I like how it mixes a piraty feel, a battle standard, and exploration. This is one blizzard game worth playing (WC3, WoW, suck it! Diablo FTW!)
And the techno remix part, great! Very light (can be good or bad, depending who's listening) flavor so I can focus on the original, but it's there and noticable. Minor effects keep the true feeling of the song there, and yet, adds a Starcraft like theme to it (and no, not just because it's techno. Some of the sounds seem similar).

In my final conclusion (jeez, this looped like 6 times already) I'll have to say this is one AWESOME track! I love it, wether it has a bad makeover or not (not THAT bad, not bad at all actually, but it just doesn't seem to fit right) and will continue to love it every time (oh yeh!) ! Keep this up, and maybe work on a Starcraft or maybe Fallout remix? I see you passing with those kinds of styles, so give it a try, yes?

Sounds good, but..

It's pretty loud and the volume tends to botch up the other instruments. Also, sounds kind of weak at the start of the song, too soft of instruments for my liking. And no, I don't mean metalize it. Sounds interesting though.
