I like it, but it somehow seems hollow..
Maybe that's just me but it seems completely emotionless.

I felt that it was generally happy and in an upbeat mood.
The "emotionlessness" may stem that it was composed in a major key as apposed to a minor key. In general, but certainly night entirely, compositions in minor keys make for a wider range of emotions expressed due to frequence chord changes between reletive majors (ex, I-VI-vii , a chord progression seen in MANY tranc songs). There is also very little variation in this song, so the "emotionlessness" may stem from that too. You do have a point.
However, I would use words like "cheery, upbeat, hyper" to describe this peice.

if i were to change one thing about this song i would change up the progression. its the same like 4 bars over and over which arent really that intresting. i would maybe use it for your mid part but maybe use like an intro lick thats a play on the 4 bars you got goin on.
