I've done wobble-bass before, but only recently did I learn how simple it was to make it. I used to do it through Sytrus in FL studio, but now i've found a much simpler way to mess with the LFO in FL studios. This is the result of me attempting to inch closer to dubstep, whilst still staying in my electronic-techno comfort zone. Enjoy? Feedback appreciated.

I like it! I'm a big fan of the bass-wobble. I do wish it was a bit harder though, and I agree with the guy under me, the kick needs more UMPH! I recommend you get yourself Massive. When you do, you can download preset packs on TPB with a lot of extremely good dubstep presets. Oh, and nexus is amazing too. For everything needed to make beats, check out Vengeance. They have a lot of amazing kicks, high-hats, cymbals etc.

I've been collecting a nice little bank of drums. The only reason they weren't that great in this song was because I wasn't really focused on them, necessarily. The whole point of this song was to test out wobble-bass again, and on that front (besides using a lead with more impact than the generic one I used) it seems I did okay. Like I told Caritas, it's really just a practice and wasn't meant to sound like a song necessarily. I mean, I want to know if my wobble-bass sounds wobbly before I start committing to an actual song. Thanks for the review!

I'll give you a four, but mostly becuase of the bass.

Okay, so honestly, the generic lead does bother me a bit, but that might just be me...did you use SimSynth? Anyway, I love that bass, but it either needs more of a deep end, or add another, deeper bass behind the whole thing to give it some OOMPH. This would be killer if the kicks were harder (personal taste, no points off for that) and you had that extra deep end in there. Also, variety. It's a little repetitive, and I know I'm not really in the the best position to say that, but I love variety, and suck at it. Anyway, the melody is also a little...off...I don't know how else to put it. It doesn't feel right. Maybe keep the times, but change the places....

Cheers.

Thanks for the review.
No, not SimSynth, just a generic lead from a generic pack. No, no, I totally agree, a harder kick was needed. This was pretty much a song made from a tutorial (which is how I found I could make wobble-bass without Sytrus) so yeah, it's repetitive. It's not really a... song, I guess. I honestly only wanted feed-back on the wobble-bass, and it seems everyone enjoys that. When I release an actual song that I spent more than a day on, I'll definitely keep these points in mind. Thanks a lot!
