I've played guitar for some years and last week I bought a MIDI keyboard mainly to learn to play piano. With the keyboard came the Native Instruments Komplete Elements which had some brass, strings etc.

As I've always admired the music in games and movies I decided to try my hand at something similar with these new tools at my disposal. This is the first song or musical piece I've ever created myself. Some better percussion would've been nice so I didn't have to use some African tribal drum :P

This had like the lowest score when I came here... Wut?
It's certainly not the best track out there, but it sounds fine to me. Especially considering it's the first thing of yours on Newgrounds.

The guitar sounded really good, so did much of the brass and the strings. The drums were okay too (better than anything I could make). The composition itself is cool too.

My biggest issue is with the slowdown at 1:25 =>
It simply doesn't sound natural, at least to me. I can't really give you any tips on this, but it sounded a bit odd. Also, I think the ending came quite quickly, but maybe that's just me.

Overall, good job!

The score was too good so I gave it a zero myself. :p I made this mainly to just study the DAW, keyboard, plugins etc. so I didn't put much effort into the composition. Not that I even knew a whole lot what I was doing. It's nice you don't think it sucks though. Thanks for the review!
