Been working on this for a long time. Most of that time was spent trying to find all the right sounds. I'm thinking of making a "space themed" ambient/downtempo EP with this as the opening track. It's inspired by a lot of my favorite music including the soundtracks for FTL: Faster Than Light, Death Note, and a little Aphex Twin as well.

I am going to be completely honest here. The beginning was kind of annoying. It hurt my ears,
since I am using headphones. However, I loved it from when the harps started to the end.
It was a pretty relaxing song. (other than the wretched beginning)

Sorry it hurt your ears! That certainly wasn't my intention! Glad you enjoyed the rest of it though! Hopefully it was relaxing enough to make up for the beginning! =)
It has a very intersting start. At first I was a little bit sceptical because of the length but after hearing the whole piece I think it really fitted in. Wouldn't consider it as ambience though, it's more like videogame music. Something in between the Fallout music and Maniac Mansion.
Anyways, good work, keep it up. :)

Thanks! Yeah, it's a fine line between ambient, downtempo, etc. I don't really pay much attention to genres though! =P
I just call it ambient because the intention is for it to be relaxing and used in the background.
