I listened to this several times now, and the melody doesn’t get boring for me—very mystifying. I’m really diggin it.
The lead synth you chose, in my opinion, is not the problem as I actually like how it sounds similar to a voice. It just becomes piercing to my ears around 1:35. I think the problem lies in how you mixed it. It’s way up front, and it has a lot of high-end which then causes the piece to lose some of its warmth. If you EQ'd it a bit, perhaps that could solve what others have been saying about it. My ears are enduring it because the melody is so good.

very mysterious I really enjoyed the melody but I have mixed feelings with the lead synth I like the melody it gives off but not the type of sytnh that was used IMO. matter of I really enjoy the background instruments more then the lead sytnh it gave off such a wonderful mysterious and magical sound. other then that I honestly really enjoyed the song.

Good job here, You did I very good job interpreting the picture, sounds like falling stars! I don't think that it is sad, it is more mystical and introspective, like a reflective piece. I really like the ambiance however i was not a huge fan of the lead synth, although I do see how it fits the pictures.

Interesting tunes. The surprising part is, that I totally got another feeling of the picture than I got by only seeing it. You changed my interpretation of the picture into a slight sad one, where the couple wants to reach the stars or try to get bach to their home planet.
