I was requested to do this mix a LONG time ago, but I hadn't gotten around to it, and after I returned to making music after my hard drive corruption, I decided I should finally take a crack at this. This somewhat deviates from the original, but I think the style I set it in will be enjoyable nevertheless! Enjoy this version of Yumemi Okazaki's theme from Touhou 3!
Honesty, I don't know how to describe this. If I could, the easiest way would be to say it sounds sort of Oriental with the instrument selection. Overall though, this was a joy to listen to, since there aren't very many good Strawberry Crisis remixes out there (from my knowledge). Only real issue here is the looping; it doesn't feel too smooth.
Anyways, this pretty sweet.
As I told Darknessbreaker, I did this in a different progression, but it's generally the same song. And yeah, the looping may not be very smooth, I personally blame the program for that one. As for the oriental sounds, you are correct, I did, in fact, use some instruments of that origin. I felt it would fit in well with the song. I wanted something that fit Touhou, but also could fit in well with other game franchises, so I guess you could say I was also partially inspired by Dynasty Warriors. Thanks for your review, man, and I wish I could work on some music right now.
Well I have to listen more carefully here since i have done a Strawberry Crisis remix myself and uploaded it some time ago. The style is as awesome as i can expect it from you. The only thing that disturbs me, is that the always looping part is wrong from the tenth to the fifteenth note (...?). So the last 2 triplets are wrong. But appart from that, its very awesome ^^.
Well, I followed a different variation, so that's why it came out weirdly. At any rate, it's still the same song, just done in a different style.
