Adjusted vocal EQ and volume. Hopefully they won't sound so overcooked. Thanks for your comments and suggestions! I hope this sounds better to you all.
But speaking from a strictly vocal standard, the voices (in agreement with system-overload) are too loud. Perhaps using softer vocals for melody and the harsher vocals for harmony really soft in the background. It would balance the piece a lot better than the constant harshness of the voices. And some of the voice covers are a bit too off-harmony, giving the piece a wild, unfinished quality. Other than the vocal issue, I really have nothing but praise! the lyrics are brilliant, and the beat is mind-blowing! I love it!
Very original. Great work. Once again i'm loving the sampled guitars. The industrial drums and the vocal harmonies work really well together. Loved the guitars at the end of the track.
Yeah, I think i know what you mean. the vox in the bridge and parts of the chorus are mixed too loud. Thanks for bringing that to my attention. Here are the lyrics in case you can't understand them (I hope to redo this song, and when I do I'll take special care to sing the words clearly):
V1:
I can't remember where I was today.
Just let the past stretch out inside its grave.
Give me back the heart that ordinary routine has worn away.
Awake but everything seems twisted and wrong as it always does when sleeps deep but not that well or long.
CHORUS:
Forgetting, forgotten, memory rotton
(Shadows of Your Memory)
A Ghost and a glimmer, a shimmer in my recollection
(Shadows of your memory)
V2:
I'm drowning in this darkening ocean,
A world that's void and moving in slow motion.
Stand still like a heart stuck between beats and frozen in time and stagnant,
Falling slow forever fading negatives, memories bygone, buried deeply within and I'm free.
Bridge:
Free Of Your Memory
Chorus:
Forgetting, forgotten, memory rotton
(Shadows of Your Memory)
A Ghost and a glimmer, a shimmer in my recollection
(Shadows of your memory)
