The original song is my favourite song from the Outrun franchise, I think it's an excellent song. I will always say that Sega really missed a trick by never featuring this song in any of Outrun's next-gen counter-parts. Although it is true that this song was an exclusive to the Sega Mega-Drive/Genesis, I still would argue that it should have been used in the later versions of Outrun anyway. In my remix, I sampled the original snare drum from the game, and made sure it was loud and punchy. Most of the synths are layered with string, violin, and piano sounds, as I attempted to make this song sound big, and I hope I have. I also played homage to the Sega Mega-Drive super mix, by creating riffs that I was inspired to make after hearing the Step and Beat intro segment of the super mix, which is still the only update this song ever had, other than my mix of course.
