This really follows the idea of Easy Listening (though I'd argue on the 'horror/tragic' tag, moreso on the former due to subjectivity of thought :P).
The speed, tempo, rhythm, and combination of instruments paints a very nice picture for the listener--and the music by itself is fluid in nature; it is both simple and carries an idea of melody and linearity (probably of events) in how it was composed. With only listening to the music by itself, it works as a very simple composure, and a very aesthetic pleasure to the ears.
Suggestion: Keep at it :D If you can do this within a day, given the composition of the arrangement of instruments and their use, then the potential is obvious.
