Lyrics by Realfaction:
~~~
Verse 1
We've been waiting for a chance to break,
down these walls that always take,
away our faith, the fear we face,
and so some fade without a trace,
Don't destroy yourself,
don't control your face,
release the chains,
and lift the weight!
Chorus
Again, I found a way,
to make a better day,
where the sun is holding high,
life's tough, so enjoy the ride.
Verse 2
(the world is upside down, you're inside vertigo,
you can cross the stream, or go with the flow)
Many reasons,
(our trust is broken)
many legions,
(stole my tokens)
but the world needs opposing forces,
to rid the world of these dark horses.
To break the cycle, to break the chain,
to break what happens again!
Outro
We all need to hold high!
Rob will lead us out, with his massive skills on the guitar!
Massive skill!
Born to kill!
And my hair's on fire, so I guess I'll be bald.
so is that Scott Stapp on the vox? lol, no seriously though, unique stuff. It's a real good mix of djent/prog kind of stuff with an alternative/radio-friendly feel. Material like this is what we need to bring djent, as well as just metal in general, more into the mainstream (I do apologize in advance if I offended any hipsters). only thing that I would change is the piano intro; the notes should ring out more. The quick choppiness makes it too apparent that its not a real piano.
I love Heavy Metal
This song really describes what Heavy Metal is.
The music was good, if maybe a bit too clinical and generic. I'm not a huge fan of the vocals though, which remind me a bit too much of Scott Stapp. I'm not sure if that's just your style or if you're forcing that throaty sound, or whatever that is, but it doesn't sound that great to my ears.
The vocals also sound a bit flat in many places and perhaps a bit off tempo with the rest of the song. I also felt that the vocal track had too much reverb/delay and is a bit too prominent in the mix. I liked the screaming though. I'm not sure the piano intro / outro really worked either.
I look forward to hearing more from you two.
