This would be great for a futuristic game--especially during an in-town scenario. :) What all did you use to make this? Sounds great! Keep it up! #R4R
A piece of incidental music I wrote to accompany a painting by a friend of mine

Interesting how people perceive musical imagery differently, I was picturing a more desolate, stormy mountain location. I used a combination of 8dio strings, Hybrid Tools, and Kontakt 5 patches to compose this piece.
Thanks for the review!
I might be a bit biased because this is the type of music i LOVE, so i will try to be neutral.
I love the first minute build up, that alone could have been made into it's own ambient track, i loved the tone that you got on the... (I can't say for sure, Xilopphone? Marimba? Glocken) , is really pretty and works amazingly, same for the piano. I am not enterely fond about the string that enter at 3:00 though, aside from that, this is perfect.
Btw, Scouted you, this is great ^-^
Thank you for your review, really appreciate it!
It is in fact a Glockenspiel, I think a Kontakt 5 patch.
Thanks for scouting :)
This song has a very reflective mood to it. I was impressed by the way you used ambiance to build suspense, but still managed to evolve the song as you went on.
Pros:
+That drop at 1:04 is so good.
+You did a great job creating rhythm with the swells. Especially around the 2:00 mark.
+I like the suspense you added towards the end. The high strings that came in at 3:55 were just sick.
Cons:
-I the lead melody at 1:15-1:50 seems a little loud to me.
-I really think it could have used some big percussion. I know it is kind of cliche at this point, but I feel like the end could have been incredible with some big drums brought in.
I really enjoy songs that take me on a journey. You, sir, managed to do that. Thank you for the great listen. Good job. 8/10
Thank you for your feedback, I like very much that you include clear pros and cons.
As a comment on your cons, I would argue that the lead melody would easily be drowned out if not at the volume it is, because there is so much else going on as well.
I consciously avoided using big percussion to make sure it did not become too cliché.
But I really appreciate you taking the time writing a review!
Please contact me if you would like to use this in a project. We can discuss the details.
