When a sequel is made, it usually isn't as good as the original IMO. But I don't think that's the case with this track - I think it's even BETTER! I addressed some of the issues with the first one (for example, there is now a drop in the middle of the song) for this version and went ahead and fixed them, plus it's even longer than the original!

I was inspired to make this from QJ Rocks' remix of the song, seeing how he improved the track from the original and made it even longer, so thank you QJ, if you're reading this! :D

The throwback at the end of the track was actually inspired from Relient K's cover of The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything, where at the very end of the track, pretty much everything dropped and they did a tribute to the original song. I listened to that when I was planning on doing this remake and thought it was a good idea. The radio effect that was put on the track at the very end wasn't actually made from anything in Mixcraft 7 (one of the DAWs I use) - it was made in Audacity. I loaded up the track and used a tutorial from the internet to do the effect (I'm too stupid to figure out how to do that on my own). :P

I hope you enjoy this just as much as I did making it! :D

Wait, since when have sequels been worse than the original? That's like saying that Super Mario Bros is superior to every other Mario game, no questions asked. But I digress.

Anyway, I'm glad I inspired you! This improves on the original in almost every way.

Also, throwbacks like the one you used here are quite common in v2s, at least from what I've personally heard.

Hey, no shame in looking things up on the internet. You can learn some cool tricks like you did here.

Random semi-useless thoughts aside, I really enjoyed this song. You should make some remixes of some other songs of yours as well.

Evilgrapez responds:

Thanks! Personally, I didn't like SMB 2 as much as the original, and I've seen tons of sequels where it isn't as good as the original.

I've been actually planning on remixing Elevator to Nowhere. I could use the original as an intro, and then blow everyone away with total awesomeness. Haha, now if only I was THAT awesome...

Thanks for leaving the review!
