" 'Bound Towards the Light' is a cover of 'In a Snowbound Land' and 'Enchanted Wood' from Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest. It was created for our mutual friend Josh Phillips to wish him a happy Christmas, because it's one of his favourite games.
The lyrics were written to tell a story about a boy who is feeling lonely at Christmas after turning down his friends offer of travelling into town to enjoy the festivities together. But he is scared of a dark and eerie forest that he would have to pass in order to get there, and so his friend goes on without him. He eventually decides that he doesn't wish to be alone, and sets off on a journey through the cold winter night to find his friend, through the snow and towards the golden lights of the town beyond the forest." - Darren

Lyrics:
Here on my own
Gazing into the night
Stiring out my window
Snow rests on the ground so white
Falling from the sky
On to the windowpane
Are you out there now? (In a snow-bound land?)
Being alone is not the same
Dance in the snow
Through the cold winter night
Dance in the snow
Guided by golden light
Run out the door
Leaving it all behind
Dashing into the night
For that light I hope to find
Searching for my friend
Who wanders in the cold
You are out there now! In that snow-bound land!
Where the lights shines bright and gold
Wander through the great unknown
Darkness greets me all alone
Why did I, stay behind?
There's a distant shining light
Running quickly out of sight
Leave my fears, far behind, in the cold
Walk to the lights
Stroll up an empty street
Climb the cold icy steps
For my friend is standing there
Reaching out her hand
She's waited here for me
We are out there now, (in this snow-bound land)
This is where i'm meant to be
Walk to the light (to the light)
Stroll up an empty street (empty street)
Climb the cold icy steps (icy steps)
And my friend is standing there (My friend is standing there)
Reaching out her hand (reaching out her hand)
She waited here for me (waiting here for me)
We are out there now, (in this snow-bound land)
This is where i'm meant to be (Where i'm meant to be)
