as opposed to softening the timpani dramatically, maybe lower the pitch it to kettle drum level as wel as soften it and give some power to the piece. That would sound nicer but in turn, would go somewhat against your theme. all in all it was an enjoyable piece.

Hmm...

I like the piece, but i have a few problems with it. The Timpani really does sound pretty bad. But, the rest of the piece is quite nice. The feeling this piece gave me was more of an young child, rather than the first day of life. The music was a bit too hectic and curious for the first day of life.

Other than that, i would put in a softer part in the middle where everything goes calm, then, you have it swell up to the climax. It always sounds better that way. Good job overall.

this is quite an interesting piece you have here! I really like the instrument selection and the melodies you have in this, my only improvement to this would be to the percussional aspects in the first half it sounds kinda out of place, more rather the sounds you used more than anything, had you of changed them to somethine else they would have fitted better to the piece.

overall this is a pretty solid piece, the instrumentation was awesome, nice work!

I like the song and what the insturments consist of. Although, I did not like the Timpani or what ever you used as the drums when they get kinda loud. I think it was a timpani though. At the end when all the insturments play their last long note, the timpiani sounds awful once again...maybe tune that down or something. Good job none the less.
