I liked this song, its pretty energetic, and it feels good listening to it. Nice job!
Back when I wrote this in 2011 / 2012, this was to be my first piece ever in 7/4 time. And this was meant as a character theme for Father Marcus Cohen, protagonist of my long-suffering bullet hell shooter project, called Project Chaplaincy.
But how on earth do you write a character theme for a choppy stiff of a priest, you ask me?
Well, I honestly had no idea. This was what came out. Now that I have these old Project C files back -- well, some of them, at least -- I might as well take time to update the mixing and instrumentation on all of them. This piece was an absolute pain to mix. But I guess this'll have to do. The piece is called "Sobriety" because quite frankly, listening to it over and over again and doing a nearly futile exercise in mixing this WAS an exercise in sobriety.

Glad you did, thank you~ ^_^
This is awesome! I love the fact that it's in 7/4 too. Great job :3
This song has a great feel about it. I'm a big fan of alternative time measures and this in particular was very well done! It's subtle enough not to be noticeable. Now that I think about it, that could be the rhythmic appeal of the bassline and lack of meddlesome drums doing its work. The instrumentation compliments the song a great deal. It sounds a bit synthesized but bullethells are often like that. Love the energy of this piece Troisnyx! Downloaded.
It had a nice energy to it; in my mind's eye I envisioned a constant climb to the top; with unforgiving weather. There's a really good progression to it that reminds me of an M.C. Escher painting.
Please contact me if you would like to use this in a project. We can discuss the details.
