Whenever I get sad and depressed, I like to vent those feelings on a piano. One day, when I was feeling extra sad, I felt like it was a good time to pour my heart onto a piano. I went over to my MIDI keyboard, loaded FL Studio, and started recording my heart.
This is the aftermath of that freestyle and various edits I decided to make a few months later. I changed various velocities, made the piece more rhythmically stable, and added extra harmonies for an additional emotional punch. And so, this piece tells the tale of a child abandoned by those above him...
