We awake to find nothing will turn on... or we're sitting here and everything goes dark. After a rudimentary examination of our domicile we'd walk out our front door to discover our neighbors all exiting their homes or already standing on their front lawns with as astonished or bewildered an expression as our own. Cut off from the collective, the only information we can ascertain comes in the form of wild speculation or the occasional educated guess from those in our vicinity. Darkness eventually sets in and those with candles are able to cast it away as best they can. We'd all wait for the Sun in silent desperation.
That's best case... the coronal mass ejection... disrupts the world for a bit and the older generations that experienced "The Blackout" would have some nifty stories to tell around campfires. On the bright side, we'd all finally be able to see The Milky Way in the night sky... so, not all bad.
Deep down we all secretly want a zombie apocalypse.
Please contact me if you would like to use this in a project. We can discuss the details.
