Hey guys, this is my collaboration with Ben Lepper! This is my first time doing a Hardstyle song. Hardstyle's a genre I've always wanted to do. Ever since I heard "Beyond Known Space" by System of Loudness (amazing track, by the way. Go listen to it), I've always wanted to make Hardstyle.

How this collab started was when me and Ben Lepper were chatting on Twitter. I knew his music (I was the one who introduced him to his label, actually), and he knew mine. We were just talking and stuff, and I eventually asked him: "Hey, wanna do a collab?" And to my surprise, he said he was hoping I would ask! We then immediately started working on it. He sent me a melody for a Progressive House song and asked me to do something cool with it.

So what did I do? I turned the BPM to 150 and made it Hardstyle, obviously!

I completely winged it. Had never made a full Hardstyle thing before or anything (aside from a little test from a while back), but I did it anyway! It probably wasn't a good idea, but I eventually got the sound I was going for and showed it to Ben. He loved it, and we worked more on it together.

Since he worked in Logic Pro, and I worked in Mixcraft, we used Dropbox to share a folder on our desktops and send stems to eachother instead of project files. He sent me a melody in a certain synth, I sent him my melody in a certain synth, etcetera. He did some really nice piano for the beginning, too, so shoutout to him for that.
