This is very relaxing and uplifting. It feels a bit repetitive, but it serves as fantastic background music.
A good gunslinger lives by a code, as any self-respecting drifter knows. While there may be a great many ideals therein, what I refer to here and now is never staying in one place too long. Gotta get while the gettin's good, and spending too much time looking back does nothing but keep you from moving forward. Remembering the past is one thing, but dwelling on it so much that it affects your future is nothing but a cautionary tale.
Suffice to say, there ain't a single thing in this crazy world that's actually worthwhile enough to stop that forward motion. Just plain standing still, well...it's enough like sinking in quicksand to make it almost as unattractive a proposition. What do you suppose happens if a gunslinger freezes right in the middle of a draw? That split second of hesitation will probably lead nowhere but a pine box and a shallow grave.
Literal examples aside, growing stagnant in your thinking, never allowing yourself to move on from the inevitable pain and suffering of simply being alive--that way lies madness. We've all got our crosses to bear, so to speak. Just don't let 'em beat you into the ground.
Welp, that's about all I've got to say on that subject. I've got other things to do. How 'bout you?
This is very relaxing and uplifting. It feels a bit repetitive, but it serves as fantastic background music.
Aw, thanks for the quick review, BlueOceans! Yeah, I can't disagree that it's somewhat repetitive at whiles, but it really does have a very pleasant BGM feel to it. I'm glad that you find it both relaxing and uplifting. :)
Beautiful composition. I love the changes in tempo
Thanks for the quick review, dude! It pleases me to no end when I hear folks are enjoying the music.
Well written, but I feel there could be a lot more expressive velocity and modulation on our strings here, especially when similar or adjacent notes are in proximity to each other in a line. You represent your theme well here, however. Good work.
Thank you for the quick review, EDM364! Your assessment is fair, and I truly appreciate your time and critical ear. Achieving higher levels of expressiveness is something that I continue to work toward. That aside, it's really nice to hear that the overall theme comes across so well. Thanks again!
Someone had me downloading this in an instant. Keep up the awesome. :)
Right on, man! Thanks for the quick comment. You stay awesome, too.
I wasn't expecting you to drop a track outta nowhere! Feels almost like an early Christmas present ^ ^
This composition is really cool! The style is really well defined throughout the song, the melodies are catchy, and the progression is nice :)
Even better, it also works perfectly as background music, since it's quite laid back somehow!
I absolutely love it! :3
P.S. I agree that we've always got to move forward, pretty much no matter what!
Haha, I know right? I have indeed been pretty quiet on here of late, but still visit pretty much every day to check out new content, especially from my faves! I'm really happy to hear that you like the new track, and I'm rather partial to it myself, so it's nice to see that it's getting some solid traction. It has a lot of meaning for me, and feels like a nice way to break back into the music scene after a pretty lengthy hiatus.
To be honest, I was expecting something cinematic to come bubbling out of my mind, and then--BAM! This happened. I don't think anyone could be as surprised as I am, and quite pleasantly so. As always, many thanks for the excellent review! Be well, my friend. Excelsior!
