I would say that the same sounds aren't good enough (or at least their placement in the mix)
I suggest trying different patterns. Maybe that will make them "fit".

So this piece is sounding REALLY BAD, and I don't know how to fix it so for now, I really need Criticism!

I think its the sounds themselves that are kind of broken, try just experimenting more maybe.
