It was something about you that drew me in.

Maybe it was that you always have something new and interesting to say. Whichever intellectual topic you're reading about is invariably something I'll enjoy hearing.

Maybe it was that you constantly invite me to think. About myself, the world, you.

Maybe it was that you like to have fun with things, to have joy in life. Like when you plucked a dandelion and fit it into my hair one morning as we were walking to breakfast, and I left it there, revelling in our shared happiness.

You knew exactly what your feelings were. I didn't understand mine, yet.

We had been texting every night until long past lights out, and the night before, we opened our thoughts to each other.

Yet it still felt like a dream to me, meeting early in the morning of the last day, on the floor of the dorm that no one was sleeping on, embracing, kissing.

This was a track made by me, based on a poem by Gragon, entered into the CHIPS SAIM compo part II, the goal of which was to create music based off of art and written submissions from the first part of the compo. This track is the culmination of the emotions i felt when i first read the poem, and i had a lot of fun making it. (it scored pretty well too which is cool)

The cool vocal synth in the middle section is actually my voice, which i recorded on my phone and plugged into FL and (with some heavy editing) turned into a cool synthy sound.
