Great song
As I am a big "Pokemon" fan myself, I was very entertained to hear this song. While I do not really play the games, this was quite impressive and loyal to the feel of the franchise. It was interesting just to hear these catchy tunes over and over. I think this gave off a really colorful feeling and one of joy but also a triumphant note. What I am trying to say is that this was a song worthy of having the pokemon name on it. It seems to be quite authentic (as I have indeed heard some remixes of the games).
Excellent--has an issue with timing, though.
This is an excellent remix of this song, which I always liked. I am very impressed at how you have so seamlessly blended the transitions from 7/8 time to 4/4 time, and the instruments which you used to play the music let the epic melody of the song shine. There is, however, a very noticeable mistake that you made in one of the sections. Very easy to spot, but very easy to fix. The section with the problem is the section that is first played approximately 35 seconds into the song. You see, unless that is what you specifically intended, that phrase is missing an eighth beat--it is in 7/8 time, when it should be in 4/4. The missing note, which should be an eighth rest, comes between the two different parts in that particular phrase, separating one from the other. It's really hard to explain without the actual music in front of me. Your remix here has the two phrases directly back-to-back, when there should be a slight moment of pause. This is really the only issue with this song, though. I really like this song a lot--that's why I am bringing this problem to your attention, so you could fix it if you wished, that it might be flawless, which it truly is, apart from that .
This is a really awesome song that you've done--you took an 8-bit jingle and turned it into a real fire-and-brimstone song of battle. My favorite part was the moving part that the organ had close to the end. A very epic conclusion. Keep up the exceptional work!
I just came
and it lasted for the whole song.
