Blood and Envy (demo)

A demo yo. Been playing with this and I don't know where to take it. I have a feeling it's unbalanced, bad phones, stress. whatever.

I thought I would share as I think it's got legs.

Ooh very powerful moment when that bass is first introduced! Some impending doom or a very emotional moment. Again, a lot of potential!

pitbulljones responds:

yea when it kicks, it kicks. Track needs extensive work, just need to refine it

I've got an idea for an ad for this song. It would be one of those write in ads like in the paper.

"Entry level progressive rock opening music seeks laser artist and planetarium for people to get baked in."

I think if you retool this a bit with a heavier kick and even more anticipatory hype you could be sitting on an opening track, like Sirius by the Alan Parsons Project. That's what the 90s bulls would run out to. Keep your eyes on the fricken laser beams!

5\5

pitbulljones responds:

A wonderful review!

It's so basic right now, i was going to delete it, but fuck it.

I can do stoner rock blindfolded, you have shown me the way :)

I think it has potential for sure. Only thing that sounded off was the bass kick was very thin. Definitely a melancholy feel to this one.

pitbulljones responds:

Yea. It just isn't 'there' is it lol. I'm aiming for guitar a glitched beats.

it's flat though, fuck knows why....
