Hey y'all it's been some time. I made this demo to test a recording technique that I'd heard about for a long time. In it I recorded the same guitar riff multiple times, but with varying levels of distortion using a Big Muff pedal. I stacked these layers and added a few tiny effects here and there to achieve a much more full sound. Each guitar track on its own is pretty skim but when combined they blow my goddamn socks off.

Apparently this is how grunge and alt-rock bands from the 90's got a similar sound.
