I'd had this dumb little synth melody in my head for years but sometime in the last couple of months I finally recorded it and built it up a bit. To me the final version feels like it might suit a factory level in an early 90's video game... The B-section is very John Carpenter-y. I love his scores, especially Escape from New York.
Damn! That is so good! Do you have a New Retro Wave album? I can totally hear this alongside Daniel Deluxe, Stellar Dreams, Power Glove, Dynatron, Action Jackson, and others. It's like a mashup of all my favorite songs! Somebody needs to do a music video with this! (I might!)
I also find your composition far more interesting than most. That real drum beat just gives it a sound and power that I haven't heard in Retro Wave before. I love it! The A-Section I can just imagine being in an 80s/90s anime or like you said a game's factory level. The B-Section reminds me of Tubular Bells personally, and its crazy how well it works with the rest of the composition.
