So after a bit of a hiatus (if you can call it that) I decided to put my quarantined boredom to rest by focusing mainly on improving my music. I bought an online class, got some inspiration, and I practiced on mixing and mastering.
I started out by practicing chords in F# and I somehow managed to make it sound really depressing, so I added some more to it, like an arp, strings and a simple saw bass. The intro sucks, I gotta admit. Then I made the drop. I added a cool arp, a growly bass with a dirty sub, and a random dubstep growl that was supposed to be a growl but it ended up as something better. I also added 2 leads, the second one taking over the second half of the drop. But it was lacking something. Power. I made a filter automation and made the bass and saws wobble like in Future Bass. Then it felt better.
I added a second verse, with an 808 and a generic beat. the bridge to it was kinda terrible, because there was no bridge. Should have made one but by then my laptop was already on the verge of spontaneously combustion.
Here's my latest, personal favorite track, Ar-a-mach, or Rebellion in Scottish Gaelic. (Similar to Dol-a-mach, but not a sequel)
