Made entirely with free plugins and DAW.
The goal of this project is to create something simple but chill and elegant, yet still epic.
It also opens a new opportunity for me to learn how to mix better, thanks to EverErratic's constructive criticism from the previous track (Live to Love). One of its focuses is to how to better arrange these instruments in a more professional and less chaotic way.
Like all musical adventures, this one started out as a random thought while I was taking midnight shower (cuz the electricity is cheapest at 2 in the morning). Couldn't wait for my body to dry, I got dress and sat down with the ideas pouring out on the FL Studio's piano roll and loaded Spitfire Audio Labs (Soft Piano). But like all great ideas, it lasted quite short, after 4 bars, I didn't know how to continue the piano piece. So I improvised, by working on complex drum programming with some fun drum plugins. But perc and piano didn't really stick, I then added the orchestra sections which consisted of Orchestral Tools Layers and BBCSO Discover. I wanted to use this opportunity to explore more on Layers because it's such an elegant orchestral plugin. BBCSO Discover is great too, but to have feature-rich sounds, Layers is just beautiful when you learn how to manipulate its dynamics. If you need something to go full Two Steps From Hell but with a free plugin, Layers is it.
Amazing how much you can accomplish with just a DAW and bunch of free stuff. The choir from Labs and Virgin Choir mixed well together, I didn't even have to touch TFO and Arcane. 5 hours of pure joy that was well spent on this baby.

Now I can proudly revisit that motto I said when I first joined NG decade ago.
Tools don't matter in your music, you do. :)
