I'd like to hear some more reverb in the mix, as well as a longer release on the pad. But that is definitely an opinion. It would make a great track for some sort of mysterious cave, lab or something. Some more variation probably wouldn't hurt though.
The reason it doesn't loop properly is because of mp3. No idea why they decided this, but in mp3s there is a split second of silence before and after the audio.
I didn't know that :/ . Welp, there's nothing I can do, since only mp3s are allowed. Thanks!

Given your explanation, I think for the most part you succeeded in getting what you wanted to express to be expressed clearly. The only thing I'd say is I don't hear this piece ever getting dark in terms of mood or tone.
About the loop, I think the issue you described with the piece not looping in a clean way is an issue with NG's Audio Portal. I've also experienced a slight delay on my own loops, the ones I uploaded here.
