Eclipse (2020 Version)

Hey guys! I've been really busy this year, which has meant that I've been a bit disconnecting from music. Trying to balance priorities in life and still have the time and energy that I'd like to be able to use on music projects has been a struggle. I made a few decisions that allowed me to free up a bit of time, so I decided to get to remaking my 2014 song Eclipse. I had wanted to record an actual harp performance, rather than using a sample library. I recorded it a little while back now, but I'm easing myself back into music :) Lyrics are in Esperanto. Big thanks to Tim @ Tabletop Audio for the beautiful rain sound effects.

Original Version:

Lyrics (and translation):

Brila Luno (Bright Moon)

El kie vi iras? (Where do you go?)

Oh please return to us

Ĉiela pluvo (Celestial Rain)

Falas de la nuboj (Falls from the Clouds)

Our people once knew joy

Eklipso de la Koro (Eclipse of the Heart)

I'm glad you're still here on newgrounds

etherealwinds responds:

<333 I'm glad to be here.

Such a beautiful rainy ambience to accompany your solo harp section! Your combination of harp, glockenspiel, and incredible vocal layering really round out the mix in the latter half. A lovely remake, altogether.

My singular complaint is that it's still far too short! But that's nothing that another play (or two or three) won't solve. :D

etherealwinds responds:

Thank you Chrono! <33
