Beautiful interpretation, I would unironically enjoy this as chill BG music.
A lo-fi interpretation of Chopin's Raindrop Prelude.
The piano sound is constructed from a single 8 KB mono 8-bit wave sample, off an Amiga sample disk in 1987, and only uses free plugins for processing. A statement against the insane sizes of commercial piano libraries. Production Grand 2 from NI for example, comes in at 430 GB in size, and costs $329.00. It seems sample companies do not understand the concept of diminishing returns.
Yes, this particular piano sound isn't that realistic. And I understand the importance of realism/convincing samples. And this piece is quite simplistic and repetitive, which makes it uniquely suited to this exercise while others may not. But the point is that this is a single 8 KB wav file, and yet it provides a usable, ethereal tone. I am sure if this were boosted up to a 8 MB limit, under the same principle, it could sound exponentially better.
Beautiful interpretation, I would unironically enjoy this as chill BG music.

i really appreciate the statement you're making, fortunately you've proven you don't need those crazy expensive tools, just a bit of passion
