I recently played the fantastic Hollow Knight, easily the best and most haunting Metroidvania I've ever played. The mood, though incredibly depressing, was so amazing that I had a hard time putting it down. I found the derelict tunnels and broken cities touching in an odd way. This is a song that captures many of the feelings I had while playing it. I used a lot more orchestral instrumentation than usual, which I am learning that I LOVE quite a lot for the huge sound it lends a song. As usual, it's not perfect, but I still have another song to produce for the month of November, and I've got to decide that something is at least done ENOUGH to work with. I'm proud to have made such a track with what little knowledge, energy, and experience I have.

As a note, I do NOT own any trademarks for the Hollow Knight game, nor am I affiliated in any way with Team Cherry, the producers of the game. I simply loved the game, and this is my interpretation of it.

The only thing I used that was not my own original creation was a creative commons thunderstorm sound from the following link recorded by Mike Koenig. I mangled it a bit to make it less recognize able and more original sounding. Other than that, everything else is mine.
