I un-installed MS Paint 2005-08-08 21:12:06

I don't know how, but I did. I'm downloading a "beta" of a new Paint program which is supposedly in Windows Vista (longhorn). I've googled the hell out of it, but I can't find anything to download it from. I'm using Windows XP service pack 2, btw.

Help, please?

I think I know how. While I was blindly un-installing Internet Explorer 7, I removed a component off Windows. Which is Paint. >:(

1st check >>> Start >>> All Programs >>> Accessories
if it's not there ... reboot ... then...
2nd do a seach for it on your HD
3rd IF it really IS missing then
a) Start >>> Control Panel >>> Add Remove Progams >>> (on the right side is a "tab") Add/Remove Windows Components
b) have your install disc ready
c) add the MS Paint ... you'll be asked for the installation disc
d) better have your *Key handy too
e) good luck

True, but Bill doesn't seem to mind. Anyway, I think it's a microsoft program (Since it comes with Windows) so try MSN.

It's there! Why didn't I think about this myself? Thanks man, I owe you one. I opened up the accessories in the start menu and didn't find it there. I opened an image and tried editing it, and Windows told me that there was no such program. I freaked out.

Thanks again!

Mods plz lock.

It's much faster to load than photoshop. I use it when posting pics here (resizing and all).

Where are the mods? I want this locked.

why would anyone ever think of uninstalling MS paint? it is better than flash photoshop and every other program except notepad.

Response to I un-installed MS Paint 2005-08-08 22:19:30

I know how you uninstalled it. and you can reinstall it as well. it has happend to me. in the add or remove programs program, you can go to add or remove windows components. there you can reinstall programs like notepad, paint, windows media player, windows messenger etc.,
