Im glad to see a nice, well balanced top 5 this week that are deserving of their positions. The songs are pretty cool and I dont think there was that much 0 bombing this week. The past three weeks have been pretty awful in the top 5, so its nice to see a good one for once.

Not bad. I knew for sure that hania's Alice is Dead would get a Top 5. It was doing ridiculously well in scores. Good to see aliaspharow got a Top 5, he deserves it ^^.

Best of the tops IMO, I quite enjoyed this one. I think more reverb on the woody leads would have helped fill it out and add a bit more atmosphere to the piece.

Yep, exactly. A good song, but not deserving of its #1 place at all. I hate it when songs get so much recognition just because they're used in a popular flash, and not because they deserve it.

#1 was really quite discordant, the quality is alright but its upbeat nature and the pitch difference between the guitar and the synths just uglifies the would be nice if it were on tune quality. Its super short and to me sounded a bit gimmicky, but most "high energy songs" come across to me like that. Don't think #1 is the spot for it, but the artist obviously has some talent and hopefully he/she gets some positive page traffic.
#2 felt like a lot of it was just loop repeating, the intro and effects were smoothly integrated and it was nice hearing not just LP filts on everything as per usual with trance music. Freq spectrum felt a bit neglected and that some more harmonies could have filled things out. Drums were standard trance, but didn't have the production behind them to make them maintain my interest. Some neat instruments and choices in the song but overall to me felt like a shell of a song needing more filling out. Good enough though I'm not bothered by its presence in the top 5, though really didn't stand out as a horridly unique peice.
#3 very vooshy and calming, production is nice, knocks on a lot of genre norms which made it less likeable to me, but theres obviously alot of work/time/skill involved here. Not my cup of tea but is worth a listen for those who enjoy trance. High freqs felt a bit left out to me, but I'm using bad headphones atm. The outro is a let down. Happy overall with this one in top 5.
#4 is written with a purpose, fulfills it, and sounds pretty decent. I think it cool Oney does his own music.
#5 is short and rather painful, mix wise doesn't workout too well. The instruments clash a bit with the varied sound waves and pitch differences altering the overtones pitchs.
Looks like we have a good top 5 this week! I'll check them out when I get home later.

Meh, I can't remember the last time we had an orchestral piece up there. All we get are Trance, House, VG remixes and the occasional rock song, that is, when the top 5 aren't pieces of random miscellaneous crap.
Well, then again, most NG members don't listen to orchestral anyway.
