Hell On Wheels (an Amc T.v Show).

So AMC has started airing their new T.V series.

Hell on wheels is about the construction of a great railroad that after the civil war. The story revolves around a Greyback who renounced his slaves a year before the war, yet he still fought for the south.

SPOILER ABOUT THE FIRST TWO EPISODES BEYOND THIS POINT.

His real goal is to kill the people who murdered his wife. He kills the previous foreman he was working under while building the railroad because of his role in the murder of his wife, and convinces the man funding the operation not to hang him, and instead make him the new foreman.

Another plot coincidong with this one has a lone surviver of a Native American attack on a scouting party trying to get back to Hell on Wheels, the name of the travelling town that houses the workers of the railroad.

I'm excited for this series because 1. AMC makes good stuff, and 2. Colm Meaney is a main character in it.

Show's even better if you consider it a sequel to Star Trek. Apparently Miles O'Brien was doing his transporter thing and accidentally sent himself back in time, where he says "fuck it, I'll build me a railroad". Also he lashes out at the world after all the shit he's been subjected to.

Last night's episode was good. I'm starting to see how all the main characters will connected to each other.

I can't see how this sho w can go on for more than a couple seasons, considering once Bohannan kills his wife's murderers.

This show is from AMC, who showcase Breaking Bad and the Walking Dead. IT'S WORTH WATCHING DAMMIT.

Season one ended with a bang, Bohannon on the run for avenging the death of his family, Eli a past slave now a rich henchman for Mr Durant, who screwed over hi business partner in order to keep his railway alive. A Swedish guy got tarred and feathered, two Irish brothers start the porn industry in the 1800s, an Aboriginal guy turns to Christianity only to have the preacher who convinced him behead a Union soldier. A white prostitute who was captured and abused by aboriginal people is dumped by Eli, and then hooks up with the Irish asshole Toole, who survived a horrendous gunshot to the neck.

All to build a railroad. WATCH THE DAMN SHOW STARTING AUGUST 19 ON AMC.

I was very excited for this show, and watched the first two or three episodes, and really lost interest in it.
I love the era it takes place in, and the outlaw cowboy stuff, all of that. I really do. I just couldn't get into the show like I thought I would.

The entire first season is on Netflix now, so I have been considering giving it another shot, which I probably will sometime after the summer break ends. I don't know.

On a more related note, I just got caught up with all the episodes. I really do like this show now.
From the Historical references to the crude little town of Hell on Wheels. I do like the Swede as a villain, and Bohannon sticking around is great.

I watched a interview with that one actor who plays the slave and every time they have to use the N word the white actors are like "Sorry I have to call you that" then he orders some white person after the scene to get him a drink.

I wish I hadn't read that before I watched the finale. I suspected Lily would die throughout the episode, but the way it happened made me cringe. Atleast Thor Gunderson is dead now.

I hope Durant doesn't leave the show, Colm Meaney is too awesome to leave.

After having last season on the DVR for moooonths, I finally watched all the episodes. And now, I dunno if I even want to watch the show anymore whenever it comes back.

Cuz fuck the fucking ending of the season finale. It feels like I was watching the Walking Dead and they killed off Darryl, Glenn, and Maggie. I'd stop watching if that were to happen.

Good 2 hour season premier, I'm sad that the Sheriff is gone though, he would have been a nice interesting character to develop on with his Grandpap's techniques and stories.

But very cool that Bohannon is now the lead engineer or whatever of the Union Pacific, and that Durant is more of a villain to Cullen this time. Everything was a good setup premiere, although Cullen being alone in the winter did confuse me at first.

Nonetheless, if you haven't watched this show, you should, it's very good.

I remember reading an interview with one of the showrunners stating that he was in fact alive, but he's not in the situation we think he'll be in. Whatever that means.

I just hope they stop getting rid of characters from season to season without explanation. First Joseph, then Durant's wife, and now Bohannon's wife is being played by a new actress. I have a feeling there are some behind the scenes details we're not hearing about.

Yes, and personally I think she looks a little too old. That is, considering how young the original actress looked, it's a bit of a drastic change.

What bullshit that they kept Elam alive to just kill him off quickly anyhow. That said, this season has been great. Finale next weekend. Might wait to watch last night's episode until then. One of my favorite moments of this season was in the second episode when Bohannon totally played Gunsersen and lead him into confessing his fraud and murder and then just strolled on out of the camp with his wife. That was hilarious and awesome. Still mad about Elam, though. I mean what the fuck.
