Are you talking about my response to the movie? Well if so my first statement still applies.

Hunger Games has an okay soundtrack. They made uncool Maroon 5 become cool.

I'm questioning why you haven't made a parody of it yet.
Since you know the story so well.

Prepares for ridicule
As indicated I just saw it today. It's nothing special all it's popularity stimulates from just being a book.

It was an okay movie, but it wasn't worth the unreal hype that it got. The original inspiration, {a part of it at least} Battle Royale was a much better movie, and had a better premise too IMO.
Just stop worrying, and love the bomb.

You forgot to add the "Hot girl" mutator in that story.
The movie was a terrible idea, it's just promoting a stupid series.

And I have yet to see it the other way around.
I just bought it on DVD, but only watched the first 30 mins of it, will watch rest later
Are you not Entertained ?!?
I just finished watching The Hunger Games, and I have to say, I like the idea. If they had taken more risks with the movie and leaned more towards an R rating, it could have been better. In the end though, the movie relies on a lot of cliches and overused ideas, and I found myself automatically predicting the "twists" in the plot, and the obvious character developments, without even trying. I'm sure the books are better.
Another over-hyped "good person in a bad situation" movie, with a rushed, tacked-on love story. At least the protagonists are attractive!

And I actually wrote all that when I was only 3/4 through the movie. The ending was even worse than I thought it would be, and really highlighted how little importance the protagonist's actions were throughout the movie. By the end, you realize that nothing they did directly influenced the course of events, and the only reason they didn't have to kill off the guy was a spontaneous change in the rules that was suddenly reversed for yet another contrived, ultimately irrelevant dramatic effect (of which there are many throughout the film) and then immediately re-reversed to make everything okay. They never really defied the game, they played it exactly how they were supposed to and it turned out alright because the movie had to end with a good feeling.
The only substance to the movie was the game itself, but even that was played down to fit the movie into a PG-13 rating. And what the hell was with the group of lighthearted murderous teenagers that somehow all forgot that there could be only one winner? Damn it, I almost liked this movie halfway through, before I realized how truly weak it is. I'm assuming once again that the books are better.

Yep, that's what they all say. From Twilight to Harry Potter.
