Hey everybody! I'm back from the Jersey shore with the Best of July. It was kind of awkward to make a call to arms while on vacation but it gave me plenty of good responses to read. I didn't post much because I was limiting myself mostly to mobile and not breaking out the laptop very often. On that note, I'm really getting excited for a more mobile friendly layout.

Was it fun? You get any salt water taffy while you were there? The 'za is a no brainer, most of it's pretty good, had I known, I would've recommended Maruca's Pizza. 3 Brothers isn't bad either.

Me too! Lately I'm visiting NG more often by mobile. Also, in future I'll make games more tablet-friendly, I mean I'll add a choice to use touch-controls.

What was YOUR favorite thing in July?

I think that it was somewhat around July that I discovered for myself, that it's important to keep on doing what I'm doing, even if some of the feedback isn't very friendly. I'll continue making stuff, no matter what.

By the way, I think I read about it in one of your older posts (not sure), but what would be super awesome and helpful would be kind of a possibility to play a list of songs (like all songs from the videogame section). At the moment I have to click every single one and then click back to get to the list again and so on. Well, just a thought. It would greatly speed up developent time since I could work on graphics or programming WHILE listenening to NG songs. :)

Agreed - we have the playlist system which created the fundamental support for our audio player to be fed a list - now we just need to do that for any list of audio on the site.

I think I liked the notifications update. Some people found it a mess but i actually like being able to quickly scan stuff relating to my submissions and posts and stuff. I find that I'm able to read reviews with more frequency than i used to.

Yeah I've been liking having a single notifications list that includes reviews, vs clicking the individual links to address new reviews vs forum replies vs blog replies.

BTW everyone who follows NG on Facebook - be sure to mouse over the "Liked" button and select "Get Notifications" so that you actually get our notifications when they go out! Otherwise it's a small random chance you get them.

By the way, we are still invading the office on friday night to do the animation jam. Met with some folks in NY over the weekend to lay out a gameplan of how to go about getting something done collaboratively for this particular jam without knowing the topic. I think I have a good idea of how to do it. So yea. You've been warned.
