@PsychoGoldfish just released a complete redo of our favorites / follow system, please PM me if you notice any bugs.
At the moment most of the changes are on the back-end, with all existing data having been moved to the new system.
On the front end, you'll notice you can now click the heart to toggle your favorites and follows on and off. In the old version, you clicked a heart to favorite / follow something but clicking it again took you to a management page.
This update also fixes a nasty bug with the old system.
We've removed the ability to sort your favorites. As an alternative we intend to have an update to the playlists system where you can use it to build custom-named boxes for your user page, featuring whatever you like.
Some upcoming perks of the new system:
1) We're gonna be showing you who has favorited your work, something that went away years ago and was difficult to bring back under the previous system.
2) We're finally time-stamping favorites and follows, so we can show trending artists vs just top-favorited of all time.
3) This system can do reactions in addition to binary yes / no favorites, so expect those in blogs, forums, reviews and author commentary.
4) You'll be able to see when people favorite and react to your stuff in your feed. Expanded personal validation for all!
