And then there's this.
I'm making this public cause it's a funny thing I don't usually draw. I have this little side story called Redoran playing in my head for the last couple years. It's a space/horror thing that I'd never be smart enough to ACTUALLY write about, and omg nerds around the world would eat me alive. But this was my take on a 'space-like' changeling. I'd imagine they could survive, adapt, OVERCOME, in any environment, but they would need to change their form. For those who want to read the flavor text without squinting, here it is, okay, I lied. This is the edited better version. Read this instead:
Umbilical cords connect to the changeling and the mother during the birth. There's six of them in total that hug them closely together. Changeling lives outside of the mother in it's own sack of fluids, and a certain incubation temperature is not needed, though exposed, the mother will find someplace quiet to hide. Once it emerges, it immediately makes a pact with the planet it's on for it's borrowed life while here. For nourishment the Changeling will eat the mother in the same way an insect would, for extra nourishment. Yum. As a sacrifice for it's life bond contract, it will take on certain aspects of the planet. This one is from a fauna jungle. So.
