So @Wegra apparently made a thread that got spam banned, resulting in everyone in the thread getting a short ban for participating, leading to a short discussion about whether we should be stepping in on threads like these nowadays.
The bottom line is the forums aren’t very toxic nowadays and most people here have good intentions. People get bored though and sometimes they make too many new topics, with half-assed attempts at starting conversation and no one really gets much out of it.
So I’d like to try an experiment: Next time you’re bored and want to make a random topic, try to think of a topic that is actually relevant to content being shared on Newgrounds. To get a feel for the possibilities, I tried to churn out a few topics real quick:
What console would Ritz have been a good mascot for?
What studio intro would have been nuts in Studio World?
Did you try the new Volty’s Quest levels update?
What’s your favorite SailrMoonRedraw so far?
What would you want to see in a future Picollage?
What audio portal song do you think would be cool with lyrics? (inspired by this)
Maybe this idea is stupid but I think it would make General feel more tied in to the rest of the site and you might start some interesting conversations. Keep this in mind next time you’re trying to think of what to post about!
