It used to be extremely easy to download .swf files, but now everything comes in .zip, is there any way to download a game or the zip file?

1 - Extract the zip file
2 - run index.html (that is the core of html5 games) in a browser
3 - done

(Chrome and Edge only) Go to your game's page and press F12 that opens the developer tools, press the 3 dot option and select search, in the search tab find ungrounded.net, if a line has a uploads.ungrounded.net so this is the game, copy the link (that is on the ""), now open the link in the new tab and done the game is downloading

Yes I tried that, but it only opens the whole game in an empty page, It doesn't download at all, I'm doing that on Comodo Dragon, which is pretty much chrome
I also tried to save the page, but all I get is a black screen whenever I drag into the browser, the max I get is a few .js files that I have no idea what to do with
Still haven't found a single way to download the .zip or the game, I end up with .js files and the .html that I can't run on the browser
Still waiting for a blessed soul to help me out ;]

You need to make a Local Web Server to play those games, they are servers only for your computer and when you close the program that runs the server the server closes too, one of those softwares are MiniWeb which is easy to use, there's this tutorials that explain phaser, but explain miniweb too

How can I download anything that's not flash? Basically, a foolproof way to download ANYTHING on newgrounds
I can save something as a webpage and it plays, but the save files don't stick
I swear, why is it so hard to download HTML5 games?
Like I'm trying to download a game called Death by zuvizut as a way to understand how to implement medals in RPG Maker MV (Because the tutorial to do it is pretty much dead, considering you can't really download the necessary files and you might as well find another RPG Maker MV game that uses the NG API.), but my God, all I get is just the game itself in a page and that's it. I can save it and load it to a browser, but I get an Plugin Error, mainly saying that it didn't load "MadeWithMv.js" right.

Not very familiar with RPG Maker. And absolutely clueless about adding plugins and coding in it. Sorry.
However, would it work for you to see the JS code directly? Because you can, via the Sources tab dev tool (or equivalent in non-Chromium browsers).
The game just seems to use the standard Ngio JS library.
The newgroundsmedals.js in the plugin folder is just this:
function unlockMedals(m) { testMedals(m); console.log("unlocked!") }
And in fact, the files include the entire unit-test.js with a slightly modified unlock function, so that it accepts a parameter. If I'm reading it correctly, it gets the list of medals and unlocks a medal at m-th index.
(Honestly don't like the idea of indexing the received list of medals very much – if you delete a medal in the middle, it will break unlocking of everything that comes after. I'd try sending ID as a parameter directly.)
// test Medal components (requires user is logged in) testMedals = function(m) { // load medals testComponent("Medal.getList", {}, function(result) { // we have medals, let's unlock one... if (result.success && result.medals && result.medals.length > 0) { testComponent("Medal.unlock", {id:result.medals[m].id}, function(){ console.log(result.medals[m].name); }); // no medals to test.. } }); }
There's some user login and init session code you'll likely need to call before, too.
I'm not exactly sure if this is helpful to you, it's not quite like having an entire editable game project to test it with – but at least it should help you see how the actual medal unlocking works in the game.
