As Much as I loved Windows 7, I Sort of felt forced to upgrade to Windows 10 because of me Upgrading my PC every once in a while, Kinda miss having the computer not be a Memory Hog whenever it updates.... I need more ram now because of it.

You felt forced? Was it...

  • the free Upgrade
  • the free Download
  • the propaganda (support is ending!)
  • the updates that injected malware. I mean, friendly reminders, while downloading it in the sidelines
  • the fact that it would update by itself so you wouldn't have to
  • the fact that it comes with new PCs anyway. (It's free if you're not paying Microsoft directly, right?)

But subscriptions like what Office 300+ has are more profitable. And who cares if it comes with Ads and feels leased despite you buying your own computer. Want choice? Buy Enterprise (I guess) or get another OS.

Oh and rest assured that it may use as much Memory/Disk space as it needs. You know, need a copy of every update and stuff just in case something goes wrong. Wouldn't want another Vista.

Yeah, I don't like it much but I'm just a Cat (on Manjaro).

I thought Enterprise editions are locked down with less features and options?

Sorry, I don't really know about the differences. I meant whichever edition isn't as annoying.

I guess the Developer edition if there is one.

They tried something more radical with win 8 with the “Metro” ui but people hated it so hard that they went back.

also there is a enterprise concern they need to account for. They tried to have a “great reset” and stop support old ass programs but again, enterprises paid billions to develop there windows XP era app and they want it to work on windows 10.

Microsoft are desperate to get people onto 10 because it’s the first OS that you can pay for a license inside it. Before it was always a serial key you needed to buy from a CD or a visit a website. Win10 essentially has in app purchases inside it with licensing and they have there own App Store which they get a cut of all sales.

It doesn’t stop at 10 it goes to windows 2000
