Best of March 2021

March was a busy month on Newgrounds! Where else on the Internet could you watch a movie about love and heartbreak featuring Lola Bunny, then promptly go play a game where you kill Lola Bunny? A Flash game, running in browsers, in 2021 no less.

We had lots of other great Flash games in March, courtesy the Flash Forward Jam and Ruffle.

There were nearly 400 Funkin’ movies uploaded for our Friday Night Funkin’ Jam. 

Sometimes it can feel like these events are overtaking the site and then you look back and are like oh, this all just happened in one month.

I've used Newgrounds through so many years now (in another account), mostly as a "consumer", but it's great to produce content and the response from folks around here is so much bigger and better than other sites.

Another great month of games! I feel like this month had the most twists and turns for me: there were some games that I really bounced off hard initially, like AshBelt due to the control difficulties, Cat Burglar & The Magic Museum due to confusion of how to play, and Vending Machine Action 2.0 due to the weird volume issue, but they all had so much charm to them I had to keep playing and wouldn't you know it: they ended up in my top 10! If anyone else bounced off of these games at first: consider giving 'em another try!

Loved seeing so many Flash games from the jam: really impressive to not only see some great games still coming out for a dead medium, but Ruffle giving them the ability to do so (so support it if you can!)

(also friendship ended with Friday Night Funkin', Neon Rhythm is my best friend now, haha)

These particular content waves lately are fun, though seemed just recently that Sexual-Lobster seemed to easily take the top spot every time he submitted something. Seems audience might've shifted a bit. Good to see that one got included at least.
