Do they have to? No. Intact it would be great for animators to get out there and make their own projects. However, if they are willing to help me, then cool. If not, then that’s fine too.

This isn't the first time we've had a thread like this. And the fact remains - animators shouldn't be asked to work for free.
Animation's really hard, it's a skilled profession, it takes a lot of time. And often animators don't even have enough free time to work on their own passion projects.
Said as someone who's job it is to hire animators / designers regularly.
I'd advise that if you're new, and enthusiastic, find a mentor perhaps? Collab with people? But don't ask others to work on your fledging projects unless you're asking friends or fellow students on your animation course or something. Good luck to you x

You sound frustrated, you have three options
1- Learn to do these things yourself
2- Be lucky and find someone who will believe in your project and help you animate
3- Pay someone
unfortunately this is the world we live in my friend, money makes the world go round. I would advise you to do number 1 and number 2 simultaneously
Judging by the passive aggressiveness of this post and your unwillingness to pay and then making such a big deal about it.
I think it would be best for most animators to skip this job offer. As I can speak from experience, It's not worth getting stuck
with projects like these.

I think enough has been said here. Learn to animate or pay your animators, or at least be able to pitch a legit idea to draw one in for free/royalties. If you do think of the next Big Thing, toss it up on the collabinator.
