There have been many controversial games from extremely religious, ultra violet, and some just made by companies you would not like to support. So, is there any video games that you refuse to play?

@Euros
Why would you never play Yandere Simulator?
Look Boring And Unpolish, and look like a Mobile game made by voodoo. Might try it tho if I get it.

If a game looks boring gameplay wise very little else will change my mind.

So, it just looks poor, not that you have anything against the creator. If you do try it out, let us know what you think.

Wouldn't you want to try it out? Just to know for sure.
games whose programmers go too far with how much the game detects (registry entries informing that you got a certain ending so you have to reinstall the entire OS for a clean start, or games that detect your steam achievements to force you to buy a new machine, create a new account and buy a new copy for a clean start, game detects if you're recording your playthrough, etc.)
I get paranoid with games that detect save reloads for QoL features like giving you extra time in timed missions because of a certain game that went too far with save reload detection and also ruined my enjoyment of meta jokes in the process: before I learned of that game's existence, the tittle char from "I am insane rogue AI" telling me my computer was not yet possessed made me laugh, now I can't find similar jokes funny anymore because they make me paranoid about the possibility of the dev making the same design choices as the dev who ruined those jokes for me, even if the game can't detect or do the stuff that could make the contents of said joke reality.
Yes. Anything in the God Of War and Grand Theft Auto series.

I barely have enough time to play the games I enjoy playing. I'm not going to spend money and time on a game that does not interest me on the off chance I might enjoy it. Would rather just buy a game that I was interested in from the start.
Poppy Playtime
Not only is it another "childhood thing but *s p o o k y* " game riding off FNAF's success. They're not even trying to hid it with dropping tons of merch for chapter 1 (seriously, the game menu has a MERCH tab!), NFTs, & making tons of elsagate content on their main channel. The studio behind it, Mob Games/Enchanted Mob also have a history of harassment & plagiarism.
Daggz did a pretty good overview of the whole shitshow if you're curious: https://youtu.be/VnLq_KztKLI
Most open-world Ubisoft styled games.
My brain just gets numb.

Oh god, they make Elsagate videos? Now the whole “making childhood things creepy” aspect seems less like a trope and more like a sick pleasure.
Someone please help me revive my clubs
Normally, I’m not one to outright refuse to play game on principle, but Life is Strange series is one of the easiest for me to avoid. Most of the characters are either unlikable or generally unremarkable, the writing is tryhard teen drama nonsense that give me a migraine, all in a walking simulator style of game. Can anybody figure out why this series is so popular again, let alone relevant?
About the only other series close to my reticence, if not disgust is Danganrompa, edge-lord garbage that is too serious to be goofy, yet too goofy to have anything serious to say. Not to mention the Frankenstein level of ripping off that this series has, particularly Battle Royale, Lord of the Flies, and even Ace Attorney, it makes me wonder why nobody filed lawsuits against Spike Chunsoft for plagiarism.
Just stop worrying, and love the bomb.
Any MMO because I will be hooked and I don't have time for all that.

People love the two lead characters Max and Chloe, and the indie folk soundtrack. The first reason is probably why the other LiS games with their new lead characters aren't as popular.
Any crappy game I would waste my money on, Because I could spend my money on something better.

Any Sports Games (with the only exceptions of Extreme and Combat Sports).
Multiversus. You know that Warner Bros platform fighter.
Also Fifa.
Any multiplayer shooter that has your username floating above your head is a game that communicates a very specific design viewpoint that I have no interest engaging in.
I don't think I'll ever play Xenoblade Chronicles, and it's for very hilariously petty reasons. The game's fans are very vocal about their appreciation for the game and its quality, particularly when the Definitive Edition was announced, and they're probably right, but it kind of became one of those scenarios where people tell you something is good so frequently you start to resent it, you know?
I mean it also just doesn't look like my kind of game, I'm not really a fan of open world games or RPGs, and like I said they're probably right about it being so good, but the former reason is much funnier.

Any "Fnaf" style horror game. As in, using things that are made for kids scary. I have never really liked that type of game.
Fuck
